"Is this enough onions??"
"Yea, that's good. Can you chop the rest of those apples??"
"Geez it's a good thing you know how to cook Jocie!! My breakfast would be a joke."
Yup. My little sister was delegating the cooking orders and I put on my best game face to look like I knew what I was doing. With sticky banana in between my fingers I tip-toed to the sink to try to get out of my domesticated sister's way. I'll stick to the cleaning.
Anyway, breakfast with Dad was great. He was thrilled and later on we'll be off to the movies and a late dinner but for now I can hear the game on in the other room, which is exactly where I should be!!
Dad, I know you know but I feel like I can't tell you enough. We love you and appreciate every smile you give us!! Get ready for a fabulous day!!
Pink. Her wedding shoes were pink… and there was a starfish in her hair. Aaah yes, I remember how much I love Ginny.
As her bridesmaids glided through the house and the flower girls exchanged secrets I tried to capture all of the little details Virginia had ready for her big day.
I met Virginia about two years ago and she holds a very special place in my heart. I was a newbie in the photography business, I’m pretty sure I still had my .mac website that I thought was awesome but really it wasn’t and she booked me. Just like that. She wanted me to shoot her wedding.
I got to meet Greg a few months ago when I shot their engagement session down by the Nobska Lighthouse and I had been counting down for her wedding day to arrive since.
The day was bright and the breeze blowing in from off the ocean was a fresh relief from the sun’s kissing rays. As Ginny slipped into her dress and on her shoes, her laugh set the mood for what was going to be an amazing day.
The light is just so beautiful at St. Thomas' Chapel, I had to post this photo from the ring exchange.
Hi there cuties!
Ginny & Greg had a really great bridal party. They were fun, spunky and loved to laugh :)
Ginny & Greg,
Thank you for trusting Jocelyn and I to capture your monumental day. I know the two of you will have no problem chasing your dreams and accomplishing your goals.
Much love,
K!
Fate. That’s what did it. Fate landed Lindsey & Ryan next to each other in their college dorms. Little did they know that many years, miles and moves later they would have hundreds of stories, laughs and memories to share and a life together that had yet to begin. The two of them separate give off that warm vibe that you just want to be around, be apart of and be friends with but together… it’s like an explosion!!
The days have been raw and rainy lately but the bright sun shone down on St. Thomas’ Chapel as Lindsey walked down the aisle to meet her best friend. Ryan gave her that look that I had seen before. He was calm, excited and sooooo ready to begin this long awaited journey. Lindsey & Ryan committed their lives to each other, but it was just a formal declaration of something their hearts already knew.
I loved the shoes. Here they are getting ready to go with help from the Glasstown Trolley Co.
I thought Linds just looked sooo cute here. Look at her, playing with her new ring!!
Jocelyn snagged this and it was one of my faves from the day!!
Her sandals flipped and flopped across the carpet as she paced back and fourth waiting to be beckoned downstairs. The sun was beaming across the sky, lighting the land and sea as if to call everyone outside to get the beautiful day started. Dara said she was nervous but I’m pretty sure she was just teasing all of us. As she descended the stairs at Hemisphere , any bit of nerves that she may have had turned to excitement. She was about to marry her best friend.
They had an absolutely beautiful ceremony held by the always fabulous Faith Lavender
Dara said this photo fit them perfectly... because they're both big mouths ;-D
Showin' off the hardware
Dara & Stephen,
It was an absolute pleasure shooting your wedding, meeting your family and laughing with the two of you. We know you will have many, many, many years of happiness together. Much love,
K!
ps~ Dara, thanks again for the awesome earrings and bracelet.
Yes, Dara MADE Jocelyn and I jewelry... we were in love!!
Tonight was perfect. All of the elements that came together were more than I could have asked for and it was exactly how I wanted to spend my birthday.
Lounging in my jammies with no make-up was like heaven, having dinner on our awesomely new renovated back-deck was like a vacation and being surrounded by all of my favorite people was nothing short of a blessing. Life has been so good lately and if this is just a sneek peek of what our summer will be like, I'm psyched!!
