I wanted to post this not only to try to help raise money for a needy cause, but to also raise awareness. Many of us (including myself) take many simple things for granted and I was given the opportunity to help make a difference and you all have the ability to do the same. From planting a tree, spending a little time at a hospital or donating to scientific research we can all contribute baby steps to making a big difference in the lives of people who deserve it. My eyes were opened a few years ago when I was given the opportunity to visit The Boston Children's Hospital. It was for my final project in school and we needed to pick from a list of topics what our project was going to reflect. I chose Hope. I didn't know where to start so that night I Googled Hope Boston, Ma for some inspiration. What came across my computer screen was beautiful, sad and hopeful. The message to the world was that Boston Children's Hospital never stopped hoping, caring and working to help children and their families fight whatever fight they had to face. With a few phone calls I ended up in 6 East, the Cancer center at The Hospital. What I learned, saw and felt I will never forget and it helped open my eyes to what a little help, hope and love can do.

On May 19th I will be walking to support Easter Seals. Easter Seals is an organization that provides services to more than one million children and adults with disabilities as well as support to their families.
Easter Seals Walk With Me is all about putting hope within reach for people with disabilities. It's a chance for me, you and many others who want to experience the joy of helping by participating in a fun and uplifting event. The distance we walk is not as important as the reason we are walking, and how much we'll make a difference. Please help support my cause by donating or walking yourself. Every speck counts.

Much Love,
K!

"The show last night was the first time I heard the people say our name! The crowd! It was crazy, I was like whaaaaaat!?"
I don't think I'll ever forget the way Johnny sounded, the way he looked as he ringed his hat in his hands and the glow that ignited from him when he was saying this. It had been a long time coming for these guys. Just a couple of kids, working hard as carpenters, plumbers and landscaping to get by and all the while staying positive. If you stopped by their house at the end of the day you could find them jamming out in the living room with the wood stove glowing or in the basement with the thumping of the bongos and plunking of the bass vibrating through the concrete walls. They were best friends; roommates and now they were a band.
The Claddagh Inn agreed to let them play one night to see what kind of a crowd they would draw. Well with a packed bar, fantastic music and 3 handsome guys the Inn was more than impressed. So if you would like to stop by to show some support, grab a drink and relax Highly Suspect will be making appearances until the end of August.
They asked Yours Truly to document their journey and here we go. They scored some recording time up at CDIABU this past weekend and got a good amount accomplished. It's in the process of being mixed right now but check back soon... one of their songs will be debuting on my website in the very near future!

Warming up...

I think I'll stick to the photography!! I could never figure all of that out!!

From left to right I would love for you to meet Eric, Johnny, Mike, Rich & Ryan!!

Keep the good vibes going guys!! Thank you for allowing me to document this adventure that you've begun and I have no doubt that you will accomplish whatever you keep your focus on. Much love,
K!

Flight 143 6:30 am CANCELLED

"I have some really bad news guys..." My Dad walked into the living room. It was about 6:00 Sunday night.
"Let's get on a bus!"
"Let's get on a train!"
"Let's just start driving!"

Our flight to Florida had been *gasp* cancelled on account of the wonderful winter storm that decided to blow in on the first day of Spring Break. Now this wouldn't have been such a big deal, jump on the next flight out, no biggie. The problem was... we had a boat to catch. Actually it was a giant boat... a cruise to the Bahamas. Our Christmas present, from our Dad aaand it would be taking place during his birthday.
With a few scrambled phone calls... Dad pulled through (Don't they always?) to get us on another flight.

Flight 268 8:15 am CANCELLED

Ha! With a few more internet clicks we were golden. There is no curve ball that any force could throw his way that he couldn't melt like a snowflake.
Well we piled into the car and drove to Boston. Staying overnight at a hotel and driving to the airport the next morning we held our breath and constantly checked the Blackberry.

Thankfully our final flight stayed caput and we made it to Florida in time to board our Royal Caribbean Cruise.

I know you would expect to see more photos up here (ya know, photographer and all) But really, after the extravaganza we went through, I managed to leave my battery charger plugged into the wall, camera battery and all.

Happy Birthday Dad!! Thank you for your over the top love, never ending support and for being the best Dad ever Seriously
You've encouraged me to pursuit my dreams and have helped make them come true and I won't ever be able to thank you enough. Jocelyn and I love love love you so so much.
