Roll up our sleeves for 2009!!
12.31.08 | Personal
|

2008 was a year of growing for myself both professionally and personally. Right around the holidays our family had to hurdle over a few losses but I feel it brought us closer as a family but pushed us together as friends. I discovered I am more patient than I had previously believed and a heck of a lot more sensitive. If I put my mind to something it will no doubt happen. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will my new website but my blog is done for now and that new site isn't far behind. I know 2009 will be a whirl wind because I already have a few awesome projects lined up and if I am blessed with the kind of amazing people I have been fortunate enough to meet this year, in this brand new following year, then I will be on top of the world (In my own little world of course!) That makes sense, right? I also have to mention all of my amazing friends who have been there for me through this year and also in the years past. Thank you all for your love and support, I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for all of you.
And on that note... bring it on 2009! I hope you all are able to pop champagne with your friends and families tonight and make your personal resolutions for a better future for yourselves. Happy New Year!!
Much love,

I just wanted to take a quick minute to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas! I'll be doing some traveling the next few days (I heard it's the best time to travel!) So if I'm a little slow to get back to any e~mails I apologize in advance! (Not to mention the food coma I'm sure I'll be in)
I hope you all have a safe holiday season & are fortunate enough to be close to your family and friends in the days to come.
Much love!! xoxox

Ooooh Christmas tree...
12.18.08 | Personal
|

We decorated our tree last night, as a family, just like we do every year.
As I added some presents under the tree this afternoon I couldn't help but to smile at all of our crazy ornaments. We have ornaments collected from everywhere. Every time we go somewhere 'special' my Mom makes it a point to get a new one, just so we can tuck it away to save for our Christmas tree. We have some super sweet old school sparkly snowflakes, plastic gold seashell strands and even a lighthouse that actually lights up. Compared to Martha Stewart Living it would be the long-lost, 8th cousin, twice removed, tree of all Christmas trees. But we love it and it definitely shows our home's true colors!
I'm going to curl up on the couch with some eggnog... McDreamy & I have a date at 9, so I have to run!! But I hope you all are feeling the Christmas spirit right about now!! And if you're not just yet... wait until tomorrow when we're all walking in a winter wonderland!!
