Oh internet. Where do I begin?? This time last year I was a blogging addict. I blogged about Halloween, Christmas AND New Years!! AND Valentine's Day. Oh jeez. And now, I look at the split screen of the year past and have realized that I have neglected my blog. Well, honetsly I didn't just realize it, I knew it for awhile. Last year I had goals, I felt like I was on top of the world and I had projects lined up. Right now I see the sticky note out of the corner of my eye that reads, "Flush the toilet. Everyday." *** This is not as weird as it sounds!! My cat uses to toilet and if we don't flush the toilet he finds surprise places to go. I guess what I'm getting at, after all of this rambling is that I need to set some goals for this year. They are going to be both personal and photography related and with that said my first goal will be...
1.) To use off-camera lighting at a few weddings this year.
Jocelyn and I both use our on camera flashes and by bouncing the light we can achieve the look that we want. Well, I snagged a little hand held light @ Ritz before they closed and we played with it at a wedding over the summer. I was so awesome!! It fired when my main flash fired so the photo was lit from different angles and it really gave the images a pop. So I'm going to be investigating some lighting asap!!
And on a closing note I want to remind everyone to get out there and vote on Tuesday!! I will be in California but I filled out my absentee ballot @ Town Hall yesterday and felt pretty darn proud!! Um, if I make a goal ( vote for something) that I already accomplished and then cross it off within a minute of writing it... does that count??
Have a great weekend everyone!! xo |

Kelly & Bruce *Wedding

Kelly sat on the bed looking at her bridesmaids, her ankles crossed, her hands clasped in her lap. “I know. No really I’m fine. I’m good. Yea. We’re already married!!” She tried to convince herself that her nerves were just a figment of her imagination. Her foot tapping gave it away. Her friends diligently helped get Kelly into her dress, showered her in pearls and gave her assuring words of encouragement. But she was fine. Really. Fine.
Kelly and Bruce exchanged vows before Bruce had deployed and now they were doing it again, bigger, and with nicer weather.
Heads turned and everyone rose to their feet as Kelly gracefully glided down the aisle to her husband. The golden sun feathered through the glass as vows were exchanged for a second time. The words were strong, the promises forever and not an ounce of foot tapping could be heard.
A little help from her friends... |

| Lovin' the bridal party's great outfits!! |

| Kelly changed into this little number after all of the major festivities were all over. Looks a ton more comfortable and lighter to me!! |

Kelly & Bruce,
It had been an immense pleasure getting to know you both. I know you'll continue to lean on eachother and take on life as an adventure. Don't ever stop being so courageous. Good luck in everything that you do!!
Much love,
K! |

The light bounced off of the scattered clouds and landed on the grass and beach below. The low hung sun was getting ready to watch as two became one with the joining of rings and spoken promises. Keely's fun spirit filled the room and she dove into her dress, buckled her shoes and glanced at her reflection. Steve would be seeing her soon and she couldn't have had a bigger smile.

Their love is a simple kind of love. As simple as a cottage on a harbor. A simple hammock in the front yard. A simple 17 foot fishing boat.
Everything starts with a simple beginning, question or idea but really, the outcome depends on what kind of a person you are.
Allison & Brandon are simple but together they are extraordinary.
We spent a simple Sunday exploring what they call home. Onset harbor couldn't have been a better backdrop for our photo-shoot.
The beautiful Allison... |

| I really love Brandon's little grin in this next one |

| Yup, my clients climb mountains. Okay, it's a giant rock, but still. AWESOME! |

Allison & Brandon,

Much love,

Rachelle & Henry *Wedding

| The limo pulled up to the church and out stepped Rachelle, with her bridesmaids close behind. They hastily made their way into the church before anyone could sneak a peek at them. The music filled the church, guests took their seats and a handsome groom followed by his two best friends made their way to the altar. Smiling bridesmaids made their entrance and Rachelle and her father appeared at the top of the aisle... |
